Reggae Rockers
This EPS set is based off of Reggae 45s and the Rastafarian culture. Due to the rarity of these records much of this art would never be seen by the general public. I wanted to help celebrate the Jamaican and Rastafarian culture. There are 24 EPS images that are contained in this collection that can be bought online.
Our Wedding Logo
By mimicking a flour bag's logo we were able to reference the history of the Mill City Museum where we were married in Minneapolis.
Labrador Style
Local fashion designer Barrett Johnansson was looking to reinvent his company Labrador Style. Together we helped position Labrador in the Twin Cities market as a leader in the local fashion scene.
Logo Collection
Over the past couple of years I've had the pleasure of creating unique marks for a wide range of clients. This is a small collection of the identity work that I've made by myself and collaboratively.
Krakt
Krakt is based off of lettering from the De Stijl movement. While not as clean or clear as one would have designed practicing the movement, the roughness adds character.
Brimley
Brimley's strokes are tight and sharp, and its characters are tied together with slender, whispy hooks. Although its elegance is timeless, this is a style that typifies lettering of last century's late '50s and early '60s.
Eighthourday
Before Eighthourday rebranded, they had created their icon with hand drawn letters. I helped them create a full character set and formalize the characters that appeared in their original logo.
Airborne
The angular letterforms are derived from lettering on Naval airplanes from World War II. The simple, geometric forms help with legibility and are easily identifiable.
We Are Each Other
The Retrospective asked me to create a layout and share some information that might help other designers. I was inspired by this concept, and wanted to share my experience.
Be Here Now
Be Here Now is an article sharing my insights into the formulation of an idea. Keeping track of the present is of the utmost importance, which I explain in more detail.
